Irtaqi is a free learning site for young people aged 11 to 16, their parents and their teachers. This page explains, in plain words, what we collect and why.
What we collect
If you create an account: your first name, your email address and a password (stored encrypted, we cannot read it). If you sign in with Google: your name and email address from your Google account. We also save your learning progress (the chapters you finished and the stars you collected) so you can continue on any device.
Without an account, your progress, language and colour choice stay only in your own browser (local storage). Nothing is sent to us.
Classroom mode
If you join a class with your teacher’s code, your teacher can see your display name, which chapters you finished, how many stars you collected and the day you were last active. Your teacher cannot see your email address, and there are no messages between pupils. You can leave a class at any time from the class page, and a teacher can remove a pupil or delete a class.
Children
Irtaqi is made for ages 11 to 16. If you are under 13, please ask a parent or carer before you create an account. A parent can ask us at any time to see or delete their child’s account.
How we use it
Only to run your account, save your progress, show it to your teacher if you join a class, and send you emails about your account and learning. We never sell your data, never share it with advertisers and show no ads.
Videos, fonts and sounds
Chapter videos use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player and load only when you press play. Qur’an recitation comes from EveryAyah, and fonts come from Google Fonts and jsDelivr, so your browser connects to those services to fetch them. Read-aloud voices are files stored on this site.
Your choices
You can learn without an account. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time by emailing us.
